CAN SUR VIVE 11

11th CAN SUR VIVE program was held on 24th February 2019 at Lanka Hospitals, Colombo. The event was focused on ‘Medicine and quality of life for Survivors’. An update on cervical cancer vaccination was done by Dr ARJP Niyas, a Consultant Gynaecologist attached to Lanka Hospitals, Colombo. Interactive discussions on safe use of medicine after cancer treatment was conducted by Prof Priyadarshani Galappaththi (Prof of Pharmacology, University of Colombo) and Dr Sujeevani Kurukulasuriya (Pharmacology dept, University of Kelaniya). Clinical Pharmacologist at Lanka Hospitals, Mr Chamikara Herath elaborated on how to look after your medicine. The program was well attended, with active participation by the survivors. The event was concluded with a session on ‘Exercise with Music’ conducted by Dr Asanga Wijerathne, who has specialized in Sports Medicine.
